Not a meatball. Not a croquette. An arancino.

Born in Sicily and built for the street, arancini are crisp fried rice balls filled with ragù, cheese, vegetables and whatever else makes sense inside one very good handful of food.

Sorriso brings that idea to San Francisco with a small menu, serious ingredients and absolutely no need for a knife and fork.

Sorriso began after eating our way through Sicily and coming home with one particular obsession: arancini.

We started making them for friends in San Francisco. Then more friends. Then parties. Eventually the obvious question became: why aren’t we selling these?

So here we are.
